Located off the southern coast of Cuba, Los Jardines de la Reina (The Queens Gardens) are a chain of virgin coral and mangrove islands nearly as long as the Florida Keys! Situated forty to sixty miles offshore, between Cuba and the Cayman islands, the JDR stretches for over 150 miles, at times twenty miles wide. The area was recently declared a Cuban National Park, and as such the access is very restricted. Commercial fishing has been banned from all but the outermost extremes of the Park.
