1 lb.(or more)- Med. to Large Shrimp or Prawns.(24-30 count).
Jalapenos or Salad peppers. 1-per shrimp.
1 pkg. of Bacon.
Plenty of your favorite BBQ sauce.
Tooth Picks.
Bamboo skewers.
Clean shrimp, do not devine or butterfly. Place a hot pepper in center of the "curl" of each shrimp. Secure the pepper in place with a toothpick by skewering it through the "head " of the shrimp, through the pepper and into the "tail" to hold the pepper in place. Cut each bacon slice in half, and wrap around the shrimp / pepper using the toothpick to secure in place. Place this assembly onto bamboo skewers, 4 per skewer. Marinade with BBQ sauce for several hours or overnight. BBQ for 15-20 min, or until shrimp and bacon are done. Slather with BBQ sauce while cooking. Make lots for these things go fast if you have guests. Needs to be served with lots of cold beer!!
