About 20 lakes in the Jim Creek drainage, 10 of which has cutthroats. 1st Jim Lake is reached by three quarters of a mile from the road closure at the bridge. Fishing is good in this lake for cutts and rainbows up to 17 inches. Best fishing is usually the middle of July after the snow comes off and before the water heats up in August. Have fished this lake for 15 years and never disappointed
