We spent 6 days fishing Jordan Lake, Heckman Lake and the entire length of the Naha River right down to the Naha Bay. Although the pink salmon were plentiful, the second wave of silver hadn't moved in yet (we saw one coho jumping down in the bay and a couple of coloured fish up in Heckman Lake). Despite assurances of lake trout in both lakes, we only caught and released one (17 inch) fish and saw one other small Dolly. It seemed to us that Jordan Lake has been overfished. We also found artificial bait and attractants in Jordan Lake cabin despite the total bait ban found throughout the Naha River system and a local fisherman admitted that many people don't respect the regulations. So, overall, our experience was disappointing though it would undoubtedly have been better had the silvers been running. The Naha is a pretty river though and the 6 mile trail makes it easy to walk.
