This lake is called "The Berrin Sea" around here. There have been big fish caught here, but for the most part this lake is EXTREMELY hard to find fish. The cover that was left when the area was flooded has long gone. This lake is the hardest lake I have ever fished and I have fished a lot all around the county. This is NOT a typical southern manmade lake, ask anyone who has fished it and they will all tell you the same thing. Save yourself the trouble and go to Lake Conway just 40 min from there if you want true southern type of bass, redear, catfish, and crappie fishing. No I am not a disgruntled tourist, I live here in Greers Ferry and have always appreciated someone being honest about a lake, and with gas prices it is even more important now. Good luck and great fishing.
