I have fished Poinsett Lake on many occasions. Poinsett Lake has an adundance of Largemouth Bass, however most are in the .75 to 2 Lb, range. Bass usually hit white spinner baits and silver & black RattleTraps. Bream fishing usually good during warm weather months around wooden docks on East Side of Lake across from State Park access ramp. Crickets are always a good bait for bream, also you may get a pleasant suprise when you hook a catfish on your bream rig, it has happened to me twice.
