The lake has a large population of squaw fish (or pike minnow). They are easily caught using fish mimic lures near the inlets where the water is warmer. This is a cold water lake with difficult access. Only small boats, kayaks, canoes, or rafts have access. That stated, there are good trout fishing when the water is glass (most of the time). I trolled with a Rapala, and a Panther Martin and had success with Rainbows. I ran into a couple of guys trolling out the back of a 10' aluminum boat with a Rapala who caught a 2lb. German Brown. Although the fishing is good to excellent, the scenery is worth the difficulty dropping in there. If you are looking for a remote lake with very limited amount of people this lake is for you!
