This was the last year they planted trout in the lake. I caught 3 fish with my buddies in 5 hours

i used top water lure for bass at the south end of the lake with no luck also i tried ruster tails with no luck from my raft. but i did see somthing swimming across the water with its nose sticking out. my girlfriend thought it was a bear i think maybe a beaver.it was pretty cool. we also saw fish jumping every were.we also saw an eagle snatch up a trout.overall we had a good time just no fish.im going to try something different next time.

This lagoon is no longer stocked with trout as of 2008. There are bass, but trout were a primary food source and they got to over 5 pounds. There may be bass left but they inhabit the South end and it requires a boat to access it. I have not caught anything here in over a year. Too bad, it used to be a place you could bring the kids.

i have fished here many times and have always caught fish, i caught a 3.5 lb large mouth bass at the north end and many rainbows all over the lake from shore didnt have any luck in our boat we also experienced a bald eagle swooping down and snatching a rainbow out of the water they sponsor a"take-a-kid fishing day" in may as well

Hey has anyone actually caught any fish in any of the lagoons. I have been many times with noooooo luck. If you have any words of advice please let me know. I really want to catch some fish but there just does not seem to be anywhere good around here.. I like ruth lake but no luck elsewhere. I plan on going to the lagoons tomorrow 1-15-09

theres large mouth bass and rainbows in freshwater. best spot is the south end

Yeah in Jan. didn't have much luck, caught a few rainbows but nothin to brag about. Over Feb and April though I caught 2 18" rainbows and I had success every time I went. For trout I use power bate and they seem to like the green stuff the best. The bass are in there too they are just a little less active during the cold months. Now that it's startin to heat up a bit I'm gonna see if there biting next time I go. I usually use lures to catch the bass. Any way hope this helped and good luck.
