Washburn is in Yosemite National Park. Anyone 16 years or older must possess a CA fishing licence. There are Brooks, Browns and Rainbows in the lake and Rainbows and Browns in the Merced River just above and below the lake. Wooly buggers work great through out the day. Test colors to find the color of the day. I would start with purple or a tan muddler minnow. I have fished it twice this year (2009). Each time I landed over 20 fish in 2.5 hours. The largest was a 14' rainbow.
