I Live in LOP. Public access is only in the front pond at the entrance. There is a lot of big bass there and quite a few panfish. There are a few other ponds that surround the main lake. Most of those hold mostly panfish and a few bass. There are a few small catfish in a couple of the ponds on the golf course. (If you do manage to get inside of LOP and want to go fishing on the golf course, go fishing after sundown or before sunrise because the golfers will yell at you untill you leave. Also, the security will probably give you a citation because they consider it dangerous to be on the golf course while people are playing golf, for they worry that you will get struck in the head with a golf ball.) The main lake holds a lot of big bass and some panfish including redear sunfish. I cought a 7 pounder a few months ago. The deeper water in the lake is stained and visability is reduced to just a few feet, but in some shallow spots you can see right to the bottom, especialy in the marina. The largest fish that I have heard of being caught there was a 14 pounder. Live worms along the bottom works well for readear (which taste very good) and live worms also works well for the largemouth bass that live there. Blue or Purple soft plastic worms also work very well. I would reccomend that you use soft plastics here because there are a lot of cover that grows along the battom of the lake, so soft plastics rigged weedless would work best. Just a word of warning: DO NOT TRY TO GET IN UNLESS YOU LIVE HERE, KNOW SOMEONE WHO LIVES HERE, OR YOU GO WITH SOMEONE WHO CAN GET IN, BECAUSE YOU WILL GET STOPPED AT THE GATE. THE SECURITY IS VERY GOOD, SO YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO FIND A WAY IN UNLESS ANY OF THE ABOVE APPLIES TO YOU!!! Overall this lake and all of the surrounding ponds has outstanding fishing.

Lots of bass. Have fished lake many times and always get 3 to 5 lbs bass. Big brown worms work best and some bass plugs. Deep holes north side of lake . caught lots of bass.
