No kayaks or canoes on the lake unless you belong to their club.... The campground there pretty much runs the place. It seems everyone tries to make a dime off the lake. Much like Big Bear Lake. Not worth going unless you know somebody.

I had a great time. My buddy has his trailer out there, so my friend and I went out. I caught 4 fish in 1.5 hours, really nice trout, about 3 to 4.5 lbs. I am sorry I cant tell where. Saving my spot for next time. Even my friend Mike does not know where. Oh and I also LOVE the Bald Eagles. And everybody was really nice. Thanks everybody.

We've had our trailer and boat up there for about three months now and love it! Great fishing, nice people, no hassles. Of course there are rules but not like other places. If you follow the rules you'll have a great time since rules are made for safety reasons, the environment, and the idots that don't have any commom sense, good morals, or judgement.

Lake Hemet is a terrible place to fish, there are no fish in that lake, and the rangers out in their boats hassle you all the time..not a great fishing experience with all their rules and regualions

Troll the north side of the lake with a roostertail for trout. Fish deep near the dam for catfish. There are bass but they are elusive. Find them around rocks. I've fished this lake for 30 years. It's pretty consistent all year around for fishing. There used to be some good inlets for blue gill fishing but the lake has been low the last few years making blue gill and bass tough to find.
