Didn't have much luck thier was six of us and not one bite. Water was full of green particals like algie i don't know if that had something to do with our our fishing? but when you use nite crawlers and use small hooks with small piece of worm an don't even catch a bluegill or crappie. Man makes you wounder? I guess you need a fish finder to locate you pray at this lake. Good Luck!

stripers are pretty abundant there. i see people catching smaller ones all the time on anchovies. i've used top water lures there with pretty good success. the most recent time i went, i pulled a 5lb striper from shore fishing. it seems as though all the stripers travel in a pack so if they're not hitting at one spot, move down some. theres less largemouth bass than stripers but theres still a good amount. they are extremely picky there though (i assume because A LOT of people fish towards the shore from boats). this one time i was using a black double tail grub and it was hardly used prior and nothing was biting it, i changed it out with a brand new one and got a 2lb bass on the first cast(just to show how picky they are). if you're using top water and they aren't biting, i'd change it out for a different one after about 5 casts of no bites in the same spot. soft baits, i'd say to use them as new as possible. once it starts to get beat up some (maybe from littler ones hitting it), either change it out for a new one or change the soft bait all together.

I caught a striper on anchovies and a Largemouth on a 5 inch purple grub worm near shore. You have to experiment with differnet baits and lure colors. But it does get good sometimes. still fun.
