The lake is a great place to fish but you need to live in the home owner's association or be with a member while fishing. Bass and Bluegill are the most common catch along with crappie and rarely catfish. No gasoline motors are allowed, but that's not an issue as the lake is only about 1.3 miles long. You'll have the best results with nightcrawlers, but it varies day to day. Experimentation is always a bonus.

Palo Verde lake is a great lake to fish. It's a small lake with very little fishing pressure. Because of this, almost any technique will catch bass. Five to six pound bass are not uncommon on this lake.The small size makes this lake easy to maneuver, and only the use of electric motors are allowed, which isn't usually an issue. Submerged vegetation is plentiful in Palo Verde Lake, and tall grass lines the shoreline making great hideouts for bass. The only downside to this lake is that it is a private lake operated by the Palo Verde Ranch subdivision. To fish this lake, one would have need to contact someones affiliated with this subdivison. Because of this, a California state fishing license is not required to fish this Palo Verde Lake. Overall, this is an awesome lake to fish if you're able to access it.
