Excellent trout fishing the last month. Rapala's trolled near Hat Island, from the surface to 25 ft down producing fish to 10 lbs. My last trip there, with a friend, netted us 10 fish, 5 of which were over 2lbs, and 3 in the 3-5lb range. Fish were in excellent condition.

I am from out of state and visited camanche for the first time tonight. I turned around and left without even getting out of the truck when I saw the huge pay station erected there. It is an abomination making a beautiful California reservoir look like the Mexican border crossing and I refuse to pay the people who did that. If I pay them they will only use the money to pave another lake and charge for access to it. I am disappointed, disgusted, sad and will find somewhere else to fish.
