Good Bass Fishing...But It Is patrolled and I got a 400 dollar ticket and my truck towed...It seems like I caught a Bass everytime my line hit the water,,,and I was releasing them! Still got jacked for it!

I used to fish this lake in the mid-1950's when I was a kid. We rode our bikes up from the El Camino Real area, hid them and sneaked in. It was loaded with large bass and panfish. A very few people were allowed to fish the lake and usually used live bait - salamanders. They caught huge bass. We primarily fished with small lures for the abundant bluegill and smaller bass. The date submitted below is approximate - we fished it for several years until I moved. Like one of the previous commenters, they patrolled the lake even at that time. This was done by a guy on a horse. He'd catch us most of the time and throw us out. Nothing more, although these days, we'd probably be ticketed. We were only about ten years old. Still - it was a great fishing lake!

Private lake on Stanford University land. No public access, no student access outside of authorized classes. Patrolled by campus security.
