This is a nice public fishing lake with good bass fishing and bluegill as well. For best open water fishing, fish during the spring and early summer months because weeds become a problem during the later summer. A small boat can be docked here but will have to be carried to the water by hand. Bass can be caught up to 5 lbs but are most common in the 1-3 lb range, but I've seen much bigger! Bass mostly hang up in small pockets near the banks where fallen trees and bushes provide cover but can also be caught in the open. A great lake to help a youngster learn to fish as the bluegill fishing is great, but can also be a challenging lake to fish if you're after big bass. Good luck and hope this helps!
