we fished this lake twice in the past ten years on pack trips. do not go before august as we did the first trip, the mosquitoes are the worst you will ever encounter. fishing for brooks and rainbows is good. we caught eainbows to 22 inches and lost some larger ones. best fishing on southern side of lake toward outlet. fishing not very good until halfway down the lake. middle and emigrant meadow also good, along with bear,bigalow,and upper twin lake. not an abundance of places to camp, one nice camp in corner across inlet.

Went there in 2008. Unfortunately, the mosquitoes were the worst I've seen in 30 years of backpacking. Hard to access much of the lake (too steep). Horse camp on northeast end, good fish in that creek. There are likely some very large rainbows if you can get to them. No camping found on east side. Maybe try southwest end for better camping away from the side with the horescamp.
