Silver Dollar lake is on private land and is part of a private club. I don't know anything about the lake, I just know that I've seen the 'private' signs when driving past the entrance while on the way up the pass.

Still iced over. I have gone up there the last weekend in May ever since 2001. About half the time there is still ice.

I fished the lake after a short jeep trip were my 3 passengers opted to walk across the shale. Milt Hornbostel caught a beautiful 4lb rainbow. His wife got so excited that she broke her glasses.

Been fishing here a few times, first time was in 2005, caught a 16 inch cutthroat... the next couple of times came away empty handed. Not a bad hike to the top, takes about 45 minutes to get there. Be on the lookout for afternoon thunderstorms that roll through fairly quickly. Great scenery that shouldn't be missed!
