Went fishing here many times. the last was in July of 2007. Fished with a self-tied orange asher. Caught fish on the surface and while stripping. I caught numerous cutthroats over 12 inches. A guy across the lake was hooking what he said were brook trout.

Fished a few more times in July & August of 2008. Caught some very colorful cuttthroat and brookies this time. DOW did a fish survey in mid september and found a health population of both. First week of July provides lots of wildflower views on the hike to the lake. The Columbines were out of control in 2008 near the trailhead.
