What a beautiful lake! Only a 22 minute hike from the parking lot on Edlow Rd. Very nice path with a great view. I used Kastmaster and Tasmanian Devil lures all morning. Got there at 0700 and stayed until 1030. Caught 7 trout, all over 12 inches. Released them all. I would recommend this lake to everyone. I plan on going back very soon and will venture further down the shoreline towards the dam.

Nortth Catamount has some of the best trout fishing and the best tasting trout on the front range due to the deep lake and good cold water. the average size of the trout is about 20 to 22 inches but there are plenty of larger fish in that ppond

Have caught and released many nice rainbows using a float tube and dry flies in deep water. I would like to be able to drive to a parking area on the western end of the lake. Additional driving access would spread out the pressure on the lake. Make it catch and release so the trout get even bigger! Keep the lake open beyond Sep 30 It closes to soon in the season.

GOOD FISHING. TROLLING IN BOAT WITH RAPALA COUNTDOWN EXCELLENT. ALMOST ANY TYPE OF CRANKBAIT LURE. SLOW ACTION ON KASTMASTERS. FLY FISHING WITH DRYS ON RISING TROUT VERY GOOD. TROLLING WITH BEADED NYMPHS AND PISTOL PETES VERY SLOW.
