This is known as Cresent lake now. Plainville sold it to Southington in 2001 who then spent a good deal of money fixing it up. they installed a dock, a parking lot, a trail all the way around the lake, and a concrete boat launch. Electric motors only. there a a lot of great spots on this lake, every kind of situation, downed trees, sandbars, lilly pads. i've caught many large bass, some panfish, and some perch here. the gate gets locked at 8 30 pm and out of town residents have to get a pass from the southington parks dept. for 25 dollars. you should bring your truck reg, boat reg, and fishing liscense. it is a pain in the butt to get set up but if you live near here i would recommend getting the pass, i am on this pond a few days a month and i love it.
