Trout fishing in summer is slow and boring, wait for spring or fall when the water cools and the trout are shallow. Bass fishing is great year round, half oz jigs with crawfish trailers work great all summer fished around rocks, while deep crankbaits and rattle traps work well to get fish on deep drop offs

Very difficult at best for public access for shore fishing. Bring a boat or don't bother.

I don't get out there as much as I'd like to. It is the quietest lake with the cleanest water I have found in CT. I always have a great time when I go, wether I catch anything or not. The scenery and the calmness is just what the doctor ordered. I've caught Trout, Pickerel, Bass, Sunfish and alot of them! I've seen Deer, Blue Herons, and othr Aquatic waterfowl. I don't have a trip date, cuz I go whenever I can.
