Fished Lake Ida for over 15 years. Largemouth fishing is excellent. Fish artificial lures along the lake edge and finger canals. Rapalas work well, as do spinner baits. Fish top water in the am and evening with poppers and frogs. Biggest bass in Lake Ida for me is over 6 pounds. There was also excellent peacock bass fishing as well up until the cold snap.

i live on the lake and the bass here are extra tough ive never caught a bass on the lake but the bream fishing with fly fishing gear seems to be reasonable-if you want to fish here go for bream, or cichlids
