I fished the upper champion lake last summer(2008) and was delighted. It took me less than a 2 minutes to hook a beautiful rainbow, which I lost on landing, then less than a minute to land a 10 inch brookie. Quiet, still, cold as heck at night and a great camping experience.

Most beautiful place I have ever fished. Fishing was very good the scenery made it awesome! Not sure about the date, it was over forty years ago.
