Beautiful place. Fat trout, delicious yellow perch, and hard fightin' smallmouth bass. Even some slab crappie available. Find your own special spot in this large lake. The experience here is not just the fish, but the breathtaking mountain vistas surrounding you, so if you get skunked, just "smell the roses". Start with a visit to Tackle Tom...his shop is right on Highway 55 just north of the town of Cascade's Main Street. He is totally knowledgeable, has EVERYTHING you need, and is a really good guy. Tackle Tom deserves your patronage, and you will benefit from all that he and his store has to offer...he is a true gem! There are a number of excellent state parks and campgrounds all around the lake. After you get your lures, flies, nightcrawlers etc. at Tackle Tom's, stop at D-( market for your groceries. Gas up at Howdy's Gas N' Grub, and if you are hungry, get fed at one of the local cafes...they are all good. You are in down-home Idaho, so keep chill and leave your city pressure-trips behind. The best fishermen here are the ospreys and the bald eagles...watch them. ...only in Idaho...!
