I usually fish Bull Frog after Maple, I have only caught Bass but they are always big, not many though, it makes for a long day, but it can be worth it. There is alot of snakes on the north bank but it is worth the risk, i haven't caught anything larger than 6lbs but a regular i see theyre every year has pulled as big as an 8lb out, (2009 mid summer, i took a pic of him with it for him) he was fishing with a Black creature 8" no weight and on the bottom, finessing it every 5 to 10 min or so.
