September 12th our family started evacuation from Starks La and Lake Charles LA and destination was Crooked Creek park which for Rita we spent our first night at your campground on route to Nachez MS. After phoning your park we learned we could not reserve a cabin and it was first come first serve. RV spots were plentiful so we weren't that concerned. So my daughter and son in law were there when the gate opened. The two woman there were very atimate that they could not go look at the cabin prior, but must make payment before they would let them go on. So they did, my husband and I not long followed. When we saw the condition of the cabin we were literally HORIFIED. the floor was rotted, the stove was aweful, rusted. The windows had plexiglass held up by duct tape. There were profanities all over the wall in the bedrooms. I could not even imagine ANYONE staying there, much less having to PAY to stay there. We left horrified. When we returned to the office to let them know we could not stay there, they REFUSED to give us our money back stated that was the police jury policy. No wonder they wouldn't let us look at them first. I am sure they have made alot of money this way. I do think this is some form of price godging. My uncle is retired from Policy Jury and I will definitely pass it along to him and other officials. We have used your RV facilities in the past but I can guarantee we will NEVER go there again. Hi, i just wanted to let you people kno that I really love your park and i have so much fun when i go there but all i ask is that you people clean up your cabins and fix them up a little bit. I mean they are kind of nasty. The appliances are nasty, they windows are being kept together by ducktape, and the matresses are very nasty and stained up, and there is alot of profanity on the walls, and they had the "nasty people" roaches in there. I'm not gunna say i'm never goin back because i really have fun there but please see about fixing up your cabins a little bit. Thank you. love m paige
