I live on this lake and it is one of the best, if not the best, largemouth bass lake in the state of Maine. My personal best is from the mouth of the feeder stream located in right next to the Casco Town Beach. It was a 6.72 pound fatty. Not a prespawn female either, this was an old male who had a disfigured lower jaw from being caught and released so many times over the years. In short a great warm water fishery but I can't say much for the trout and salmon that are stocked every year as I have"never" caught either tpe out of this lake. As I am from Florida, moved up here 4 years ago findng out I livd on the best bass lake in Maine was a godsend to say the least.
