Open to fishing until June 30. Need permission from Mr. Dow, owner of the seasonal cottages. Artificial lures only. I used to fly fish this pond some 30 years ago for brook trout. At that time there was good trout fishing in the evening when there was a hatch. On this return trip I fly fished from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. There was no hatch. I caught 3 very small bass, no trout. The pond was stocked this spring with trout and I believe stocking is done every year. It is said that bass have mostly taken over the pond and that Adam Pond is now one of the better bass fishing spots in Maine. This was confirmed by a couple I met who said they were from Long Island, N.Y. They said they had been renting the same water-side cottage for years in June to fish for bass. They were trolling with rubber worms and said bass fishing was very good. According to them the fish were getting larger each year and now running up to 18 inches, large and small mouth. They had never caught a trout in all their years of fishing the pond!
