Caught several pike over the last two weeks. Largest was 50". Went for bass two days ago and caught 6 nice sized ones. Smallest was 2lbs, the rest were 3 and 4 lbs. Also caught a few nice perch. I normally use an ultra-light pole (5'ugly stick) when I fish, which makes catching the pike a blast. There are many places to get into the lake, esp if you have kayaks. There is a lot of surface vegitation right now, so some weedless lures will get huge attacks. Buddy of mine was ripping a mouse lure across some lilly pads and the bass were really jumping at it. I tend to fish along the outside of the weeds (with 6lb test I have to stay out of the weeds), using minnow lures and steel leader. There is much fun to be had fishing here, esp if you go up the river a bit.
