I am a north adams resident, and the fishing excellent for trout for about 2 or three weeks post stocking times, but very slow ater that. The lake has many species including, trout, Bass (Big Mouth, & Small mouth), Perch, Pike (or pickeral, not sure but definatley one of those), Pumpkin Seeds or Sun Fish, Blue Gill, and Bull Head. May be some other species I am not aware of like Horndaze, or something of that nature. There are many big ones in there as well. My step father cought a 6lb 9oz big mouth out of this lake one year, and I caught a 4lb 5oz lake trout another year. The overall fishing is great because the fish are kind of segregated so that the trout are scattered, but the bass hang in one end of the lake, and the perch in another. The pumkin seeds, or sun fish are everywhere. Great place for families too because it is also a campground on one side, and a public beach on the other. Picnic tables, fireplaces, garbage cans, a meduim sized playground, public restrooms, and even a snack bar are just some of the perks of this family park. I highly suggest this place for a day of fun, or fishing.
