The state stocks this reservoir in the spring and the fall, as it is open for ice fishing in the winter. It has good boat access but I think motors are limited to electronic trolling. Every spring I catch nice stocked rainbows. Its rumored that some landlocked salmon are stocked as well. During the summer recreational boating takes precidence so spring and fall are the best times. My best catches are rainbows in the 15-16" range. Fishing the sudbury river on the perimeter of the park is difficult but always produces some small brookies and the occaisional brown.
