Grew up fishing here. Lot of new delevopments in the area and now it's not that accesable. Best to park at the Stoughton Soccer fields and walk through the path on the right side of the fields that my friends and I created with ATV's and dirt bikes in our younger years. Bass are present in the pond along with sunfish, pickerel. Snapping turtles are there too. Pretty good walk from the fields. You also have to cross a river, at the bottom and a step ravine. Used to be a bridge we built for ATV's, not sure if it's still there or how sturdey it would be.. You could walk across by hopstoching or finding an old down tree to cross. If you get there really nice pine groves are there! All planted in a straight line for some reason, we were never quite sure why or what the purpose was for them? We always assumed for military defenses, were you can see in a straight line if you look one way but it appears to be a very dense wall of pines in the other? Pretty cool place though!
