The public has been permitted access here with restrictions, including NO GASOLINE MOTORS, so that excludes many fisherman. It closes each year for at least a day for weed treatment via chemical application. At least one local shoreline resident is in court with the lake owners (Brooks is privately owned and managed) and may prevail in his battle, but only because he LIVES ON THE POND and his deed may permit him access and motorized use previously denied by the association (they actually SUED HIM and HIS WHOLE FAMILY!). The weeds are already getting nasty due to his motor use, so this once-beautiful pond may be a swamp soon. It will have to be closed off to prevent public copycats. I've been visiting this pond for nearly 20 years and frankly, I hope they do close it off or it will be ruined forever--for everybody.

This pond is over 10 acres and is currently being investigated weather or not it is a great pond and not private. The majority of people on the pond are nice with the exception of one guy who goes to the beach to yell and swimmers and fishermen. This should be a great pond, the law says it is until proven otherwise but the residents don't seem to agree. Fishing is good.

I swim there at least 3 times per week. To me the fact the public is allowed to use it is a blessing. I want to thank them for allowing people to use it. I see the fish with a face mask and snorkle. Brooks Pond is heaven. I tow people in boats ti is great.
