I have fished Beaver Lake for 45 years. The lake is spring fed and very clear. Tackle should be light and stealth. Smallmouth bass is the majority species. Pike are not a natural fish to this lake and depend on planting by the DNR. Walleye have been planted for years and have ate all the pan fish. Not many perch or bluegill anymore. Weather and wind play a major roll on how you fish this lake. Some days are just to tough. In the spring and fall are the best times to get big fish. Smallmouth as large as 6lb. are not uncommon and can average 3-4lbs. on a good day. All in all a good place to fish.
