I lived on this sandy glacier made lake from 1959 to 1997. My largest catch was a 5 lb Largemouth Bass. My Dad caught a 18 lb Norther nPike once. Lot's of Crappie and Perch. Once, I got my limit of Bluegills & Sunfish in 20 minutes using a cane pole and two hooks and worms. There is a spring in the Northern depths, off the center line. There is a nice creek on the North which attracts marauding Bass. The Lilly Pads were great for Bass, Bowfishing Carp and Bull Frogging. The two sand bars are good for Crappie. There were a few ancient gar fish left and some dogfish to keep it interesting. Also some Grass Pike and Warmouth Bass. The lake weeds make fishing a challenge some times, but are cut back during the summer. Indian Lake is a great place to take your little ones.
