I have fished here many times. There are pike up the wazoo. Most are 15 to 20 in long, but you could catch 50 to 60 a day. Lots of fun great place to take a kid fishing!

Agreed. Very high population of northern pike. Most caught on spinnerbaits and buzzbaits. Jigging for bass works well though also. Overall fishing is good for this area, you wont catch many keepers but you will have fun. There are definitely large northern here but we have not caught them, released a 13 inch largemouth only to have it grabbed immediately by a 30 inch plus pike.

I have camped-fished there since the 70s great lake. Fishing has changed over the years. Just wondering if anyone has ever seen the floating island cross the lake? Was almost caught between the island and shore in a row boat. Great pan fishing,I agree, bass pike pan fish- no record breakers but plentiful and fun. I was taken there as a kid and have taken many there over the years. Love that lake. No kidding about the island.

large bass 17-23 in. hit aftr dark trolling long floating perch rapala's (6 in) in the summer time.most catches before dark are small.have caught too many small pike to count during summer days.bluegill, rock bass, small perch, sunfish will hit almost anthing live on a bobber during the day.if you have kids this is the lake to go to.have never gone and not caufgt at leat 5-10 fish in 1-2 hours of fishing.larger pike seem to hit during early fall trolling with large perch rapals or white floating baits.I think i am the only persopn to troll this lake that i have ever seen.the deepest location i have marked is 12-14 feet and the lake has a lot of weeds in late summer.during the late spring and early summer is the best to troll this lake due to the weeds being shallow and not overgrown.this is the most fun lake for non-experinced fishermen and children.also a challeng for pro anglers to try to catch bigger fish.
