Over the years, I have caught a variety of fresh water fish at Berry lake. Blue gill are large and abundant as were croppies, perch and bass. Good croppies and bass were caught on a small orange flatfish while trolling with oars in a small light boat just beyond the lily pads. Blue gill are in the pads and best caught with a long cane pole and bobber. If you want to have some fun you can catch large dog fish and gar still fishing with live bate and a big bobber. My brother and I own three lakefront acres and have fished the lake for over 50 years. It is quiet and no power boats are needed. Best fishing is early morning and just before sunset
