This is a great lake to fish but not always a productive lake. Lots of slow days to go along with some amazing days. Scenic and quite with a nice launch!

the best fishing lake in Michigan if you want to fish for bass. In the morning top water such as popars works best. In the after noon plastic worms work best never had a bad day caught 15 between two people last time out!

I fish here all the time. I fish for the largemouth bass in the lake. I catch and pike about ever other time out, and an occasional bowfin dog-fish. Crank baits, buzz baits, spinner baits and bladed jigs are my lures of choice, in perch or bluegill patterns. Weekdays with the lower boat traffic and overcast or rainy days are the best. Fish can be caught shallow and deep. I had a day last week where the best 5 bass I caught weighed over 17 lbs. Some days can be tough, hot sunny days seem to really shut the bite off.

We camp here all the time! I am trying to learn how to fish on this lake. I have a 12' boat with a gas motor - so I can get to any part of the lake. I tried trolling a bettle spin in 10' of water and caught 2 small pike in 15 min! I'm hooked! I would love it if someone who has lots of time in on this lake could tell me some good spots and methods so I could show my son a good time fishing - we dont have a fish finder. We only catch and release so I won't clean out your spot! We are booking our camping dates for 2010 - I can't stop thinking about getting on the lake! Thanks for your help! mixin16 at hotmail.com
