Probably good right after the spring drop, but otherwise poor fishing. Plus the aspect of the beach swimmers who are very intrusive. One swimmer kept charging by the shoreline where I was wading, and then told me to fish somewhere else- I had to remind him that is angler harrassment. Very disappointing.

this is a popular scuba diving location, fishing is discuraged as lost line poses a danger for divers to get tangled in

A previous poster said that fishing is discouraged. If anyone discourages you from fishing there, report them to the DNR or Police immediately. Anyone with a valid fishing license and endorsement has THE RIGHT to fish Spring Mill Pond, as long as they followed the rules set by the MDRR. Last I checked, Scuba Divers don't pay license fees that directly impact the quality of the water. Share the water, but in reality Scuba Divers have secondary rights to anglers.

Me and my father thought it would be nice to try this pond out we came all the way from Albion to try it out we both thought the trip was worth it because he got two nice big trout and the whole time fishing we could see bunches of trout swimming in a big group the pond was so much fun we plan on going again in the future.
