Lake is relatively shallow with deepest basins at 17 feet. Fish are tightly schooled and there is some work involved in locating them. On the plus side, the lake is fairly small. Takes much more pressure during the summer. During the winter, there are usually just a few houses on the ice. Larger lakes like Big Lake and Bemidji draw the crowds. Takes a couple of days to get dialed in.
