We were told fishing was excellent in the center of the western part of the lake where the depths are around 40 ft. but fishing was horribly slow and what we did catch were small, of course being so deep their air bladders popped and couldnt be released. we have made multiple trips but have been unsuccesful. this is all hapened within the last few years. Its a waste of time but king lake, near balsam is worth the trip for walley crappie, large pike, and huge bull sunfish
