I have fished this lake all my life...Best fishing is May and June. By July, the lake is too warm to keep the fish you catch, still fun to catch and release but would not eat them during the summer. Excellent lake to ice fish for pan fish and tip-ups for Northerns. Family and friends have caught Northern in the winter that were 16 plus lbs. Definitely worth mounting and hanging on the wall. Have one on the wall from 94 that weighed 16lb plus we caught with a tipup in January. Big Northern come into the Lagoon in the spring to feed on the panfish that are spawning. Took the kids there for opener and the caught decent sized pan fish from shore. It is also connected to the Ann River and fishing down by the bridge on Highway 65 produce good sized pan fish also. Again, wouldn't keep or eat the fish past July 4th. Lake and the river get too warm and the fish aren't good to eat...

Great fishing, lots of good walleyes during summer. Nice northerns also and 12 inch crappies. big catfish also. sheep head and dog fish also are caught sometimes. watch out for the lamprey, may find them on a northern or walleye.
