Not sure if I should let the cat out of the bag on this lake. A nice lake to fish when the winds blow you off the larger area lakes. If you want a lake to take the kids to this is the one. Sun fish by the millions and they are willing biters. Don't expect to catch any big ones. The lake can be very weedy until it is sprayed in early summer. Some trophy largemouth bass swim in these waters but they are getting harder to catch. The locals have picked up on the fact that their docks are hosts to these fish and they have been catching and keeping the larger fish. I spent a lot of time this year fishing the weed lines and have found areas that are loaded with big old mean bass. Best baits are plastic creature baits in green pumpkin. Cranks will work to but most anglers don't like ripping them through the weeds. If you decide to try this lake and do find those big old bass remember to snap a picture and let them go. Thanks!
