This used to be a great lake but they put in a new landing and it got fished pretty hard. However, it is coming back! Some nice northern swim in these waters so be aware. The bass population is back to normal and some are big! Pan fish still have a way to go but it can be a fun lake to fish both summer and winter. The landing is still good and parking is adequate. If you like to fish largemouth bass with surface baits this is a good lake to hit early in the a.m. and also later when the weeds get good and thick. Fishing the slop with rubber frogs is a blast. Try the upper end of the lake and don't be afraid to throw the bait right up to the bank. If you're more inclined to fish plastics concentrate on the outside edge of the cabbage beds. Color doesn't seem to matter but I like the darker browns and blacks.
