This lake gets tremendous pressure in the winter but still produces some quality fishing. Pan fish are the fish of choice for many but it can be a good walleye lake also. I've found the best fishing to be in the fall. The breaklines along the western side of the lake are good for late fall walleyes. Trolling minnow baits or snap jigging minnow tipped jigs are the best methods. Check from eight feet to twenty feet of water. If you chase bass look for them up in the reeds on the north end and out along the weed lines over on the east side. Last fall (this trip) I caught quite a few on a red skirted spinner bait in five to seven feet of water. During the hot months use rubber frogs up in the pads and slop along the channel that leads to the bridge.
