Get out on the water and have a blast! This stretch of river is great!!!!!! Smallmouth and walleye galore. Fish it in the fall for the best results. Jigs and minnows will take a lot of walleye and you will find them on the upside or downsteam of the holes. Vertical jigging works the best. Smallmouth will migrate back to the deeper sections of the lake later in the fall and you can catch them with jerk baits, small cranks and spinner baits. If you catch one you can expect to find more in that location so stick with it. Watch out for the days when the wind blows from the south or north because it will mess up you're fishing big time. Good access areas can be found just north of the dam off the east side or up in Pike creek just south of Little Falls on the west side.

Son of a gun! The tournament organizers from Royalton scheduled a annual smallmouth contest on Zeb. This will be a death knoll for the BIG smallmouth. They don't take kindly to being hauled around in livewells. To bad! It only took three years to ruin the stretch above Sartell so if you want to get in on the action go now! Last trip out we did well casting buzzbaits over the weeds along the mid river sandbars.
