Not to be confused with Star Lake in Morrison County. This can be a hard lake to find so check out the map on the internet. The township provides a very poor access and parking area so don't take a big boat. Also watch out for the mermaid on the red flosting raft. She likes to sun bath (top off) on this lake. Eh, eh. Loads of crappie live in this lake and are very easy to catch. Just use a slip bobber and minnow or crappie candy and jig. Fish about six feet down along the weed line in the second lake. Some big bass are caught each year by yours truly using a rubber frog and fifty pound braided line. You need this just to get them out of the pads. After five or six stikes you may be lucky and land one. I managed one out of nine the last trip. She was a nice five pound black beauty. Oh a four wheel drive is not required but it does help if you have a heavy boat.
