I have fished this lake several times between February 1988 and September 1991 with all seasons being equally spectacular. Spring crappie fishing is outstanding, although they can be caught here throughout the year. Fishing for bass, channel catfish and hybrid striped bass is good throughout the year, with spring and fall being the best times. The lake is not real deep so water temperatures get too high in the summer for fish to be real active, with the exception of bream and catfish. Hybrid stripers, crappie and catfish bite fairly good during the winter in the tailwaters below the dam right where the water lets out.
