i've fished lake jacomo for 3 years and every year there less crappie and the crappie are getting smaller and smaller. i think it's over fished and needs to be stocked.

I have been fishing this lake for two years now, but today was great! Caught over 30 crappie kept 10 and landed a 6lb largemouth after catching 8 and released, all of this in a span of 2 hours. Best luck I ever had in Leggit cove.

Living close to this lake, I fish it a lot. I've never had much luck. I've caught a few small cats, but nothing of any size. I can spend hours out there without a bit. Mostly turtles and moss.

Lived close to this lake for over 30 yrs. Have never caught anything. Finally caught a Channel cat. Might be better now.

I have fished at Lake Jacomo since I was very young. There are more turtles to fight than fish. But then I have caught some very nice blue cats and channel cats in the last few years. There is no where to go by foot. Most spots are not easy to get to and it is hard to take you children or grandchildren because of this. You need a boat to do the most and best fishing at this lake. There are not enough trails to get to the lake by foot.

Read the local stocking reports. Pay attention to what people are catching certain fish on and you will do well. Its not over stocked but, if your looking for a challenge and know what your doing its a great lake to fish.
